The Cudy AP3000 v1 is an Indoor Wifi6 Ceiling / Wall Access Point with 1x 2.5GB LAN Port. It has 2 antennas for the 2.4GHz band and 3 antennas for the 5GHz band. The Power Option includes 12V DC (1.5A), 802.3at (PoE+) as well as passive PoE. shop listings often call the device with an additional letter P, so “Cudy AP3000_P” is just an alias.

As of jan. 2026, some devices are shipped with an alternate chip for single LAN port. Latest OpenWrt 24.10.5 image won't detect this chip (supported in upcoming 24.10.6). This is fixed by a commit in main (04 feb. 2026) and 25.12.0-rc5: image must include the kmod-phy-motorcomm driver. It would have been smarter from Cudy to create a v2 for this device rather than changing the hardware without noticing the user. OEM easy installation
Note: Reset router to factory defaults if it has been previously configured.
- Download the appropriate Cudy-signed OpenWrt image from Cudy's Google Disk or ask the Cudy Support to send you the file
- Download the latest OpenWrt stable sysupgrade image
- Browse to
http://192.168.10.254/ - Choose a password. This won't be needed later
- Navigate to
http://192.168.10.254/cgi-bin/luci/admin/panel - Click on the Firmware button
- Upload the Cudy-signed OpenWrt image
- Click on the proceed button
- Wait for the device to reboot
- SSH to 192.168.1.1 or browse to
http://192.168.1.1 - Flash the latest OpenWrt stable sysupgrade image
OEM installation using the TFTP method
TFTP is only available since Stock Firmware Version 2.4.7. It is necessary to install the stock firmware in order for U-Boot to be updated.
Instructions:
- Give yourself the IP
192.168.1.88 - Configure your TFTP Server to serve the firmware file as
recovery.bin - Press and hold the reset button on the device
- Power on the device
- The device will be reachable under
192.168.1.112 - When the TFTP Upload starts you can release the reset button

Failsafe mode
The failsafe mode has the limitation of only working with IPv6. You need to find out the IPv6 link-local address of your specific device in order to reach it. IPv4 is not working, likely due to a bug, as there is no IPv4 address set on the lan interface when in failsafe mode

To open the device unscrew the two cross screws at the bottom of the device. The top case is clipped in so you can use a flat tool get in between the top and the main case and lift the top case up.
